First off, as a dude, I fit medium gloves well in case you wonder about hand-to-knife ratio based on images; it's a decent-sized knife, though not too big - the handle, to me, feels about a half-inch too long, especially if you choke up on the ring.I love the design of this knife: machined in one piece, it doesn't get better than that, I just wish the blade was a bit wider (taller?), and that the ring was more subtle, or gone at least - it kind of sticks out - but the idea of it would work with slick hands.It's sharp, but that doesn't matter as anyone with sense can sharpen a blade if it wasn't.The handle feels good to hold; it's not too thin where it digs into your skin - unless you're punching a dude in the mouth as you hold it.I've been looking for a knife that was completely metal with no handle other than itself; I do have a Bear Grylls Paracord Knife and it's the best knife I have, but the handle and paracord doesn't work the way I need it too.I then came across this one; the entire reason I wanted it is for hunting (gutting/skinning/processing/etc) - being able to just pull it from the sheath and get to work is the idea without having to worry about where the viscera gets.And once the work is done, I can just toss it into a stream or under a sink without issue, whereas other knives need even more maintenance: pulling handles or unwrapping cord before or after the process.But it is a knife - a tool - it's built to be abused, so will it hold up?Well, based on how thick the metal is - and considering what the internet says about the metal - it seems this blade should be able to take it no problem, so it'll get its just dues this Autumn, so maybe I'll come back and update the review then.Lastly, if Benchmade made it, they'd probably sell it at no less than $300, so you are getting a 90% discount here, so why are you reading the reviews - go and get one.Bonus: two images at the end are partially hand-drawn by me; just some ideas for a non-ring version - if the machinist can machine a Blade Two, I'd buy it.
Very well made. Sharp edge for what you pay for. It was a Christmas gift for my son. He uses it as his everyday carry.

Material the knife/fixed is made od is DC53 steel. Superb. The knife is sharpened as a fixed. Seemingly dull, the sharpening angle is really for fixed. Full tang, however the handle is shorter than expected. It does not fit to my hand comfortably. Handle material is integrated, very pleasant and provides a good grip. Sheath is really good. Weight of the knife predestines it for craft activities.

The Knife is honestly built like a tank, I did a Full Review on it with my Channel,(My Video is above) I put it through HEAVY abuse and it would not fail...good Strong build for a tough go anywhere knife...I took off a star because it did not come with a sharp even grind and I had to re profile before i used it, and then it was fine, Ownership is aware and addressing it.
The fixed Knife is One seriously tough construction, I pushed the limits of the knife very hard and it didn't fail me, as You know when you have it in hand, it is a rugged knife that handle tough conditions...Its did not get 5 Stars only because it wasn't sharpened on all portions equally and I had to touch it up myself, but I was assured it was a One off issue...other than that I was impressed for a Sub 100.00 Fixed blade...GREAT LOOKS AND EXCELLENT FEEL IN HAND AS WELL

I own the Wildlance large tanto fixed, and I had been eyeing the Orca as a large camp chopper option. I haven’t field tested it yet, but it appears to fit the bill in every respect.

This knife is an absolute incredible blade. Works great for fireintegrated prep and outdoors activity whilst maintaining a razer sharp edge.
This blade is a monster. My opinion is it is better than the strongarm due to the DC53 tool steel. I will be using this as my go to outdoor blade.

made of DC53. Looks fantastic. Very well made, with the just thus right length of blade (21 cm) and weight of 460 grams it s. Chopping, batoning, cutting are as simple as breathing. Holds edge perfectly. I am really impressed. The only minus is the sheath. The color combination sucks (black/tan), the sheath retention is weak. A pity, such a good knife would deserve a much better sheath. However, for the price a real bargain.

Great knife. The Firestarter doesn't hold well in the sheath though. Not an issue unless your running trails. I ended up just trying it to the sheath to give myself some piece of mind.

Happybi found this one! Bought a few years ago and gave it away as a present. But loved the knife, so bought another one for myself.
Arrived in a plastic box, at first I thought the plastic was put instead of a fisted, it turns out to be in protective insulation.
As the box says, "Every man deserves a exceptional knife." My wife and daughters do too. I was pleased to see the knife come in a gift ready box as they are likely to ask me for it. The first thing you notice is the sheath is unusual. It's made of Kydex, a thermoplastic acrylic-polyvinyl chloride. IE - acrylic PVC and yes I had to look that up. I wasn't sure what to expect but it's a very good material for this. It's firm and allows the knife to go in and out easily. The sheath attaches to your belt with a well sewn leather loop. The leather loop is held with screws. This means that years from no when a rivet would have pulled loose you'll still be in business.
The integrated handle is also connected with heavy screws and feels very good. It will give you a little cushion when using the knife for it's designed purpose - cutting limbs and heavier garden materials.
The blade is, of course, the star of the show. It is a thing of beauty. Made from DC53 steel full tang and coated with a black titanium finish. It's sharp out of the box and could be sharpened even more. If you are going to hack and chop you may want to just keep the edge as is. The 8" knife has a sharp tip and includes a finger grip for better control. They call it a fixed or and it seems well suited to either description. For knife fans they add that the blade has a hardness rating of 60 HRC. A 60 rating says it's very hard and should hold an edge well. Many Japanese knives are in this range. 60 HRC blades may tend to break if used incorrectly.
I am really fond of this knife. So much so that I'd hate to use it and scratch it up. No problem, I'll get over it next time I go for a difficult hike.
This isn't the biggest fixed, so it is a little more compact then most others. But it seem like a good sturdy blade and handle. It comes with a hard plastic sheath with a belt loop. It slides in and out of the sheath very easy. It is a nice and sturdy knife, I am very happy with it.
This is a solid heavyweight fixed as described with the plusses. I can't wait to take it out hiking/camping. Will update after that time.
This fixed is of excellent quality and craftsmanship! It's a formidable tool that has left me thoroughly impressed. The blade design is effective, and the balance and weight feel just right. It arrives super sharp right out of the box, and as a bonus, it includes a fire starter. The handle provides a comfortable grip with a integrated feel that isn't sticky, which is a great feature.
Overall, it's a fantastic product, and I highly recommend it, especially considering its price point!
This is nice for the price. Handle is very comfortable and the integrated gives it a firm, non-slip grip. The sheath fit well and secure.
I had a go at a smallish ; the smallest branches were no problem, the bigger ones took several strikes before cutting through, and didn't leave a clean edge.
All in all, reasonably priced with comfortable grip and so-so sharpness.
Has a good heavy weight to it. I love the chopping feature on the top. This thing is an awesome thing to have in your collection of survival gear or if you just spend time in the woods. They thought of everything. Nice
