Ti-Drift | Button Lock | D2 Blade & Titanium Handle | TA-01

This knife definitely feels thicker than most folding knives, but not to the extent that it will fly out of your hand. The blade flips out smoothly & I appreciate that I don't need to put a finger in the way of the bite in order to release the locking mechanism. This is also my first folding knife with the upside down clip, something I will have to get used to, but the clip offers good retention & the ability to change which side its on is not something you see everywhere. First let me say that I love almost everything about this knife. The blade is large and well ground. The handle scales are beautiful and comfortably contoured. The pivot is silky smooth and lightening quick. The blade is well centered and large enough to tackle even large jobs. It is quick and easy to open and provides a ton of performance for the price point. My only gripe, if it is a gripe, is the odd orientation of the good lock. I don't hate it but it is awkward to get used to. I took away a star because it takes getting used to adjusting your grip for one handed closing on a lock system that should be intuitive. Don't get me working, it is a great performer. Otherwise I am really a huge fan of this pocket knife. Recommended.

07/26 - updated and upgraded to five stars. Unlike other button style locks this one is obviously made to be closed by pressing up toward the spine on the cross bar with just your dominate thumb. It is not designed/intended to be released by pulling back on the lock with your thumb and fire-finger in a pinching grip. I'm not sure what effect this will have on the omega spring but it actually works very well in the intended orientation.

I recommend this Wildlance folding pocket knife it comes in a nice heavy plastic storage box, it has a high end D2 Steel drop point blade with a very sharp edge. The knife has a nice heft to it and is well balanced. The handle is sturdy and made of titanium and is textured to prevent slipping, it has rises and valleys that make it conform to your hand. This design is ergonomic and allows for a natural relaxed grip when in use letting you work with it for long periods of time without hand strain.
This Wildlance folding pocket knife is a great EDC knife the blade is made for piercing, slicing, cutting and chopping. The D2 Steel comes with a sharp blade and with occasional sharpening will maintain a sharp edge for a long life time of use.
The knife has an ambidextrous release and lock switch and can be opened by flip lever, flicking the knurled knob on the blade or just grasping the edge of the blade and opening manually. There is a clip that can be switched for left or right hand carry in a pocket.
I will carry this knife as my every day carry knife, it is a great value and it is built to take a beating.

I guess I must have never had a really sharp knife until know - it's really quite incredible that this knife goes through one of those plastic shopping bags from shopify as if it was nothing. Count me amazed.

In terms of size, as others have already commented, it's not a small pocket knife. But I knew that from the product photos and peoples' comments, so I'm not holding that against it.

Quality also seems high - it doesn't feel cheap in way and has a good/weighty feel to it. The grip looks like you could drive a truck over it without it breaking or even deforming. All in all, I highly recommend this knife. And as a bonus, it comes in a nice, giftable box.

this is a pretty beefy knife that i thought had an button bar style lock...... while it works similar to button bar lock it is not the same and not sure how it would hold up to some abuse...... but all in all it is a good user..... the ergos are pretty good the looks nice..... the pocket clip can be swapped from right to left carry..... ambi thumb studs and lock..... so this knife is good for left or right hand.... im a big fan of D2 steel

This knife is very sharp! It is a very good quality and sturdy. It opens and closes very easily. I love the flip open, it makes it very easy to open, even with gloves on. It locks open. The handle has a good grip on it. It is small and compact. It comes with a very nice case.

I had originally thought to give this to my 11yo for his birthday, but when it arrived I realized it was far too big for him. Kept it for myself instead and got him something different.

It's crazy sharp right out of the box (which is a neat not-waterproof pelican style clamshell) It was fairly oily so I had to wipe most of that off of the grip.

I like that it can be opened either with the thumb studs or with the spine flipper thing. You can sling it open if you flick your wrist hard enough, but I don't think it's dangerously loose. It fits well in my big man-hands.
The close lock is also nice as it keeps my fingers out of the way of the blade when closing it.

The clip seems nice and strong so far. I've had no issues with it leaping out of my pants pockets like some of my other knives tend to do.

It's fairly heavy (which is another reason I didn't give it to the kid), but not enough that it's pulling down shorts without a belt.

Very impressed.

This will be my go to knife for camping. The blade is sharp and holds an edge well. Its got a great weight to it and does not feel cheap like others at this price point. This would make a great backpacking knife because you could easily use this to prepare food. I recommend this to anyone who is an outdoorsy person.

This is a great knife for the price. The button lock allows you to deploy the blade smoothly and releases the blade to close with ease. This knife is great, larger, but light weight and a cool bladed shape!

This knife has a nice edge but is way to heavy in my opinion. The opening mechanism could be a lot smoother but I would not personally carry it because it is too heavy.

Sharp as a razor straight out of the package. Opens easily folds smoothly, and very rugged. I love this knife

This should really be 3.5 stars, but as I can't do that, I'll round up. No complaints about the blade, it's very thick, even the tip, so there is no concern with it breaking. It's also incredibly sharp. I do not love the plastic handle - it's thick and bulky and I don't trust it to stand up to abuse with how heavy the blade it (it's a super heavy knife).

The spring is far too underpowered though. It only provides tension for the bottom 20 degrees or so of the blade opening, so when it's open you can flop it around (it will lock up obviously).

Overall it's a decent knife, and the box is nice, although their barcode sticker should really go on the back of the box in the event you want to gift it. I would find it too heavy to EDC, but for certain events and right clothing I'll bring it.

I like that this knife is very well made using high quality materials. The blade has a nice thickness. Other features include the back release thumb release lanyard hole and pocket clip. I only wish that the blade was sharper when it arrived.

This knife is good and sturdy, albeit a bit large and heavy. It comes in a nice Pelican style case, but I believe it has one major design flaw.

This folding knife is sharp. It opens quite easily ?C almost like a switchblade. The close mechanism is easier to use because it's on the side. It is hefty in size and shape, both folded and unfolded. It's not as compact as other folding knives, and is probably not ideal for the pocket.

This pocket knife is quite a bit beefier than most pocket knives. It has good looking rustic scales which do seem to be material, and if the blade is made from D2 steel as the product page states, it should hold its edge a long time. Very sharp edge right out of the box, by the way.
The box is really solid too, I plan to repurpose it for a project. It has locking tabs and almost seems it would be waterproof. It should certainly be rainproof.
Very satisfied with this knife, the pocket clip can be mounted on either side or easily removed and the locking mechanism is superior to the usual button locks in my opinion. Nice.

Very good knife! And it comes very sharp! Great quality steel and the handle is solid good purchase. Deep pocket clip works great. Also one handed open and close. Very happy with it!

Disclaimer: I did receive this via the fan review program, and my thanks to the manufacturer Wildlance for providing it. I showed this to a friend earlier, who marveled at the size of a flipper knife. This isn't just some little penknife. And this is SHARP! Out of the box, it can shave arm hair.

The opening action is perfectly smooth and didn't need oiling up. I'll have to get used to the button-push mechanism to release the blade for closure, which is actually better than the button locks and button locks I've always had.

It came very nicely protected in plastic wrap and a silica gel packet, in a nice little plastic case.

This is a really great knife, the D2 steel is nice and uniform with a great edge out of the box. Great scales on the handle that are shaped in such a way they make this a pleasure to hold.

I like the sizing too, much larger than most folding pocket knives but not huge. The knife opens and closes buttery smooth and there is no wiggle to the blade at any point when opening which is very nicely done.

This does come covered in oil from the factory for moisture protection that cleans off the handle easily, I recommend rubbing alcohol as use of water/soap not thoroughly cleaned off could lead to rusting. D2 is great for knives but is actually a "Tool Steel" and is only semi-stainless due to its high carbon content so there is the possibility of rust if not cared for, the oil ensures it arrives without any moisture damage and a blade like this should be oiled from time to time just for basic maintenance.

They also provided a mini plastic hardcase for storage that is foam lined which is a nice touch!

The only issue I found with mine is that the spring is a bit under powered, it does get the blade all the way open but doesn't do it with the "snap" that other quarter springs will provide unless you really give it some power when flicking it open. This is not a huge deal in my opinion and could also just be the spring in the one I got but at the price I really can't complain.

Overall this is a really great knife at a great value and I do recommend it!

This knife seems very sturdy and well made. It came in a plastic box with memory foam inside. Nice touch. The blade is sharp and the mechanisms all work very well. I haven't cut anything with it or put it to hard use. That will be the real test, as I am very hard on knives. The only thing I would disagree with in terms of the listing is that it's a great EDC size. I'm sure for many, this would be fine. But it's a pretty bulky knife. I wear shorts a lot, and I like a knife that I can wear with shorts that doesn't feel heavy and bulky like it's gonna come loose and fall out of wherever I'm carrying it. Unfortunately this is something I would probably only carry during the fall and winter. But it is a very nice knife, and I actually like the shape of the blade and nearly everything about it.

This is a well-made, hefty folding knife with a good-sized blade.
The hinge mechanism is really smooth, and deployed by either the thumb stud or finger stud, and with a slight flick of the wrist, the blade is out and locked instantly.
Very sharp edge, ergonomic handle, safety latch on the handle to release the blade for folding, and a storage/gift box.
The price on the comparison chart is listed as $36.99, but the current price is $19.99, which is a great deal.

For an inexpensive, cheaply made knife, it works well. The blade is very sharp and the metal body fits well in the hand. It opens and closes well, but not as smoothly as other knives I have. The blade locks open. It comes with a belt clip attached on the side. In my opinion, the case is a gimmick and not needed. It is cheap plastic, but it holds the knife securely. I would have preferred a sheath. But it does what a knife does and it does it well and inexpensively.

This really is a great knife. Fells very solid and made with quality steel and materials. Easy button switch to flip out and back down in. Handle has good grip and doesn't slip or feel.like it's going to dig into your hand. Blade is sharp and cuts well. Great knife to have for outdoors.

This knife comes in a nice padded box. The knife has a hefty feel. The blade is mage with some interesting angles at the top. The blade is indeed sharp. The handle has a comfortable feel when in hand. The clever way the blade can be flipped open works well and quickly. The lock is a good. This is small enough to slip in a pocket. It also has an attached belt clip.
This knife is a super gift for anyone that likes to carry a pocket knife.

Good price for a pretty good knife. Used this during a recent camping trip for cutting line, carving branches for hot dog and marshmallow holders. Worked well, stayed sharp and felt solid in my hand.

I like everything about this knife. It has solid lock up and opens and closes easy. The lock up is modified version of a button lock. Instead of it going from front to back it goes top to bottom. I do prefer the traditional button lock but I can learn to get use to this style of lock. The blade steel is D2 which is what I expected from a knife at this price. The grind on the blade is decent but I don't expect a perfect grind at this price either. It comes sharp enough to shave hair. It comes with a plastic case too. The case is decent quality too for something that comes with a entry level knife. I'm sure this knife will only go up in price.

The Wildlance TA-01 Foldable Pocket Knife is beautiful. I love this knife. Its strong and sleek and extremely well made. I love the case it comes in, a hard shell with insulated padding. I love the case so much I display the knife in the case. Highly recommend this knife
